From Autumn 2018 RESOURCE CREATIVES will be working in partnership with Cumbria Police Neighbourhood Policing and Custody teams to identify 16 schools across Barrow, Carlisle, Whitehaven and Workington to deliver Anti-Social Behaviour prevention Workshops.
Delivering workshops in primary schools & secondary schools addressing positive decision making to educate children and young people in the impact of getting involved in anti-social behaviour, gangs, serious and organised crime and victim awareness.
PRIMARY & HIGH SCHOOLS
High Schools
AIMS:
•To provide young people with strategies to make positive life decisions and steer away from criminality, negative associations and identify positive activities and futures to aspire to.
•To understand the impact of early offending behaviour potential escalation and affect of future life and work choices.
Primary Schools
AIM:
•To support children to become aware of the impact of positive decision making on their lives, the lives of people around them and their futures.
PROJECT AIMS

Provide opportunities to make positive life decisions
Reduce risk of people entering criminality
Raise awareness of anti-social behaviour, crime and the impact on communities, families and self
Promote victim awareness, social responsibility and accountability for individual actions and how to make amends.
Raise awareness of what abuse is and the potential triggers
Raise awareness of the restorative process

Teachers, Police and Practitioners working with young people can use this film to support follow on work to address how anti-social behaviour can lead to young people being on the cusp of criminality and at risk of being targeted, manipulated or used by organised criminal gangs or pursuing, the path towards serious and organised crime.
